Sandblasting, Laser Cleaning & Jet Washing
Advanced laser and sandblasting cleaning solutions restoring surfaces safely, precisely, and effectively.
EnquireEffective Cleaning Methods
In addition to our main services, which include cleaning and decontamination, Structured Designs offers specialist cleaning and renovation using jet washing, sandblasting and the cutting-edge technology of laser cleaning.
All systems are highly effective at removing smoke contamination, scorching, paint, rust, graffiti, and other contaminants from most brick and stone surfaces, as well as timber and metal.
All three methods differ, and the choice of system depends on the material to be cleaned and the client's required finish.
Sandblasting Services
Sandblasting (also known as Abrasive Blasting) is well proven and versatile, as both the air pressure and the grade of blast media can be varied to suit the degree of abrasion necessary.
Abrasive cleaning media can range from delicate crushed walnut shells for soft timbers, to grits made from by-products of the steel industry, to hard agate stone particles for demanding projects. Skilled operators can produce superb cleaning and paint-removal results on masonry, stonework, and timber beams, as well as removing paint from metal as a preparation for refinishing.
The process also offers a dry method for removing carbon smoke contamination after a fire and is generally the method of choice for heritage and listed buildings.
Laser Cleaning
Laser Cleaning is an effective and efficient way to clean large areas of building surfaces and equipment quickly.
Cleaning lasers are fast, precise, and safe. As well as general restoration work, the pure light system can be used to clean delicate surfaces without damaging them and even to sterilise moulded surfaces.
The system is smaller and can therefore be utilised inside buildings better than a sandblasting setup and generally requires less post-work clean-up of debris produced by the operation.
Jet Washing
Jet washing, steam cleaning, and chemical cleaning are all options if required as part of a restoration project.
Whatever your specialist cleaning requirements, Structured Designs offer the solution.
