Protecting Your Property & Health

A superficial approach of just washing and treating visibly contaminated surfaces often fails. The failure is often identified at a later stage in the reinstatement. If not methodically approached, odours from poorly treated and out of sight contaminants can remain long after the reinstatement work is believed to be completed.

We have the experience to survey your property, investigate possible causes of future odour and determine a scheme to ensure all identified odour sources are neutralised. Following a fire or flood, a general clean and paint over is inadequate: failing to fully remove odours and chemical residues, which may represent a risk of long-term harm to the occupier's health.

Residues often missed by less experienced restorers include odours in cavity and loft insulation, wall cavities, plumbing and electrical ducts, electrical back-boxes, roof voids, behind bath panels, above ceilings, pipe insulation, to name a few.

Our Odour Removal Methods

We have several methods and systems for counteracting odours, depending on the circumstances. In many instances, the treatments chemically neutralise the odour-producing molecules, providing a permanent eradication.

As an initial step, we always specify that the affected areas are cleaned and decontaminated (or sterilised). Treatment of residual odours is then carried out.

Smoke residues, sewerage and mould odours. Treatments include professional deodorising, cleaning chemicals, and sprays. Wet and thermal fogging. Ozone treatment to break down organic contamination. Encapsulation treatments for inaccessible areas, such as ducts.
