Expert impact damage restoration delivering safe structural repairs, insurance support, and complete property reinstatement.
EnquireRestoration Services
We're the experts in impact damage restoration. Structured Designs provides a complete assessment and repair service. Impact damage occurs daily through a variety of incidents, including collisions with cars and delivery vehicles, and falling trees. For us, the most common causes are failure to apply the vehicle's handbrake, pressing the accelerator instead of the brake in automatic cars, and joyriding.
Repairs we undertake often include impact damage to boundary walls, gates and pillars, houses, garages and fences, although we undertake larger projects to public buildings and commercial units.
Wall repairs are generally straightforward; impact to house walls requires careful assessment, as the shock force, particularly in slow-speed impacts, can transfer through a building and create far more structural damage than can be readily viewed. In certain instances, entire external walls of a house can be shunted along the dampcourse membrane, a defect which requires skill to rectify.
Case Studies
Our work varies from dozens of boundary wall rebuilds to include the more complex, such as:
Abergele Library
Complex repair in a public building. Vehicle impact through an external wall, causing structural damage, with a gas main, commercial plumbing and asbestos hindering work. 2022. In consultation with council representatives, a detailed work and H&S plan is being developed to ensure the safety of carpark users and to retain limited use of library services during the work. To minimise disruption, comprehensive protection was employed to prevent soiling of thousands of books and expensive computer equipment. The Client stated 'extremely well finished and tidy' and 'thank you very much for all your hard work and professional approach to these works, I'm very grateful for all your hard work and diligence. The library staff had nothing but positive comments for you and your team.'

Gobowen

Ellesmere

Traffic Management
It is not uncommon for traffic management to be required to ensure the safety of pedestrians, road users and the repair staff. Our services can include risk assessment, followed by the required applications and site meetings with councils to agree on the necessary action and timescales.
Party Wall Notices
When a boundary or property wall is damaged, and it is shared with an adjoining neighbour, a Party Wall Notice (Party Wall Act 1996) must be correctly served on your neighbour. This must be served correctly, or substantial delays in starting the repairs may result.
Building Control
If there's significant damage affecting the structural safety of your property, we'll liaise with Building Control to ensure repairs are completed in line with current Building Regulations and obtain a certificate to prove the work complies.
